LIFE REWARDS ACTION

Action enables us to transform the invisible into the visible. Good things don’t just fall out of the sky. Without action, there’s no success. Often, I passed up going out with my friends on the weekends because I Knew the next day I wouldn’t be in any condition to exercise and write. This were conscious decisions I made base on my desire to reach my goals.
I stayed focused and that’s why I achieve what I set out to do. I often hear people finish a phrase by saying, “God willing”. Now, I have a strong faith in God, and I know that at the end of the day, His will will be done because He knows what’s best for us. But I also know He can’t do anything for us if we aren’t willing to help ourselves. Just saying “God willing” won’t help us to achieve what we want in life. Everything requires effort, action, desire, and perseverance. I want to emphasize “perseverance” because starting something is much harder than finishing it. Perseverance is a huge part of being successful.

People compares themselves to me in a lot of ways and say, “Wow, you’ve really accomplished a lot,” or “Hey, how were you able to grow your company so quickly?” “Chabán, yo came to this country without knowing how to speak English and look at you now.” “Chabán, you’ve managed to keep the weight off. Lucky you!” Friends, I promise you, magic and luck have nothing to do with what I’ve been able to achieve. It’s all about action, effort, perseverance, and patience in my day to day life. God rewards har work. I used to wake up at 3:30 am to go to work and after working on Despierta América, I head to my YES YOU CAN! Office to continue working. I used to work on the weekends because I didn’t have enough time during the week days to work on other projects, like my books, my conferences, and my new YES YOU CAN! Products instead of going out and partying. There is nothing wrong with partying, but to get ahead and reach your goals, you have to commit yourself to hard work and dedication.
If you are not willing to pay the price and sacrifice to reach your goals, then change your goals to something you can achieve. Success in life isn’t measure by what you achieve, but by the obstacles you overcome. Remember, success only happens when your dreams are greater than your excuses.
