WHY YOUR WORDS MATTER?

A blog post by: Alejandro Chabán

How many times have we heard, the words are blown by the wind? Since our grandparents, right?

I believe that words don’t fly with the wind, they have weight, they can stay in our mind and heart for a long period of time. Sometimes they can give us joy but also suffer.

Try to remember, when was the last time you heard someone nice? Did you make a great job? Or Were you very good looking?

Do you remember how those words made you feel?

Learn how to select the right words to yourself.

1. TAKE CONTROL

Attitude is the key, this is a decision you make, no one else can do it for you. When you see the good side of things, you would start using words that motivate you.  Increase your confidence and help you achieve everything you set out to do.

2. LESS “NO” AND MORE “YES”

When words that don’t contribute come to my mind, such as: “I can’t,” “I’m not capable,” Stop. Listen, and then change them to “Yes I can,” “I’m Capable.”

3. KNOW YOURSELF

Affirm who you are, your dreams, your hopes and your successes with two of the most powerful words you can say: “I am.”

These incredibly powerful little words are the most important words in your vocabulary. The way we finish the phrase “I am …” defines who you are.

Then, when you say “I am … fat /lazy/shy” or if you decide to say “I am … healthy / intelligent / hardworking” … remember that you are the one who has the power.

4. ALWAYS POSITIVE

We must use words that help focus your goals and positive results. Instead of saying “I should do it”, say “I’ll do it” Instead of saying “I wish it happened,” say “It’s going to happen.”

Remember the words work for you.

5. SPEAK FROM THE HEART

Connect yourself every day with your inner-self, with your purpose, and with your vision. If you speak from the heart, you take away the negative beliefs and you increase prosperity.

With love,

Alejandro
