HOW TO ACCOMPLISH TASKS WHEN YOU DON’T WANT TO?

A blog post by: Alejandro Chabán

Think about a project you just started. Do you have the same excitement as when you started? If the answer is NO, keep reading…

How to accomplish tasks when you don’t want to

1. Give a reason for that task – Feeling motivated by a task does not mean we have to be happy and excited all the time. Sometimes, we should only ask ourselves: Why is this task important? What is the final goal?

2. Evaluate the unwillingness to start – Identify what is limiting you to take action. Maybe fear is taking over you, and you don’t want to fail in the attempt, so you’d rather not start.

3. Use the 30-minute rule – Commit to working on that task for 30 minutes without interruption, and then give yourself the same time on a break.
