5 HABITS TO REINVENT YOURSELF

A blog post by: Alejandro Chabán

Reinvent ourselves does not implies changing our personality, likes, or dislikes. By reinventing yourself you are improving what you already are. The process includes identifying your virtues and abilities, instead of guiding ourselves by what we already know. For example, by the ego.

Reinvent Yourself is:

  • Promoting the best of you by discovering the good.
  • Discovering who we are and evolve
  • Using our skills and experiences acquired over time as allies, as a map to guide us.
  • Allowing new things in our life and understand that you can always learn something new.
  • Taking an active attitude towards life.

Are you ready for a change?

1. BLOCK NEGATIVE THOUGHTS

The first step is to understand that we must control the fear of the unknown. Block failure ideas and focus on the positive ones.

2. CULTIVATE OPTIMISM

Experts suggest that in order to reinvent ourselves, we must focus on what we want and develop encouragement that gives us strength and confidence.

Always keep your affirmations in mind.

3. EVALUATE YOURSELF IN

We don’t spend time thinking about ourselves. Did you know where you are?, Where you want to go? Are you clear about your strengths? Which are your attributes? Take your time and brainstorm…

4. EVALUATE YOURSELF OUT

The clue is persistence. Ask yourself: What resources do I have available? Maybe you already know someone who has achieved that goal that you want. Call that person, & copy his formula. If you have the possibility to follow that person’s plan, what are you waiting for? DO IT.

5. GET CREATIVE

Take time to think about new ideas. Challenge yourself to do things you haven’t done before. Meet with people outside your environment and discuss different perspectives.

Fun fact: Google holds meetings for its employees to engage in thinking – Brainstorming.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

“It is not the strongest species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one that best responds to change.”
